Judgement Deferred in Case Challenging National Reproductive Health Policy
On 25th July 2025, the High Court in Nairobi deferred the judgement on the Petition challenging the constitutionality of Kenya’s National Reproductive Health Policy 2022 – 2032 to 30th September 2025.
This Petition filed in 2022 challenges the policy on both substantive and procedural grounds. The policy was enacted without meangiful public participation and contains language that is discriminatory and exclusionary effectively limiting young girls and women in Kenya from fully enjoying their right to the highest attainable standard of reproductive health.
