Allan Maleche
Executive Director
Allan Maleche, Executive Director, is a legal expert with a robust background, holding an LLM in National and Global Health Law from Georgetown University, complemented by a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. With a distinguished career spanning over 15 years, Allan is a seasoned advocate for human rights. He envisions a future where health-related rights are not only promoted but also protected, respected, and fulfilled. Allan’s academic achievements and extensive experience underscore his commitment to advancing the cause of human rights in the realm of health law.

Dorothy Kahuha
HUman Resource Officer
Dorothy is a CHRP (K), who has cumulative 6 years of Human Resource experience, she has been involved in the startup and set up of an end-end human resource department. She is a solution and people oriented professional, with knowledge skills and experience in staff management, recruitment, performance evaluation, training and development, and labor relations. She holds a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Administration from The Kenyatta University, and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with a major in Human Resource Management.

Advocacy Officer
Duke Otieno – Advocacy Officer in Intellectual Property and Access to Medicines for HIV/TB & KAPs
Duke blends expertise from pharmaceutical manufacturing and healthcare. With a Bachelors in Public Health and Pharmacy and over a decade of experience, including pharmaceutical manufacturing and hospital pharmacy roles, Duke is dedicated to ensuring medicine accessibility. Leveraging his background, he drives initiatives to prevent intellectual property rights from impeding essential medicine access. Committed to promoting innovation while ensuring affordability, Duke is driven to contribute to shaping policies and fostering collaborations to overcome barriers and advance healthcare rights for all.

Eddy Austine
Procurement Assistant
Eddy is a detail-oriented finance and procurement professional with proven expertise in managing accounts, procurement, and finance reporting. His skills ensure strict adherence to standards, minimizing resource wastage. With a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Finance option) from Maseno University, Eddy is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) finalist pursuing a certification in procurement (CPSP), he is keen on creating efficiency in procurement processes and building strong supplier networks.

Edwine Nyanja
Project Coordinator SGBV
Edwine Nyanja, SRHR Advocacy Program Officer, brings more than 10 years of expertise as a Project Management practitioner specializing in Youth and Gender Equality programming. His extensive experience includes substantial engagement in SRHR and Gender Equality program design and implementation. Edwine is a dedicated advocate for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights, focusing on empowering communities and meaningful engagement with policymakers to achieve Gender Equality. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology & Psychology, an Advanced Diploma in Social Work & Community Development, and Diplomas in Project Planning & Management and Mental Health, showcasing his multidisciplinary approach to addressing complex societal issues.

Elsie Milimu
Program Officer
Elsie Milimu, Program Officer SRHR, an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and Program officer, boasts five years of experience in the gender and human rights sector. Her expertise spans legal and advocacy research, capacity building, and mediation. Holding a Bachelor of Laws Degree and trained in Safe Programming in Humanitarian Response, Elsie is a dynamic force in human rights. From guiding program strategy to overseeing SRHR initiatives, her passion and multifaceted contributions mark her as a dedicated advocate for justice and equality.

Esther Oloishorua
Senior Finance Manager
Esther Oloishorua, Senior Finance Manager, is characterized by her integrity and organizational prowess in all aspects of her work. A certified CPA K holder, and armed with a Bachelor of Business Management in Finance and Banking, Esther growing experience in the human rights advocacy field. Her aspiration is to witness a future where equality prevails in accessing health rights, particularly for marginalized groups. Esther’s dedication to financial management and her commitment to the principles of equity contribute to the broader mission of ensuring inclusive access to health rights for all.

Ibrahim Kimani
Programme Officer
Ibrahim Kimani is a clinician with over 12 years’ experience in Kenya’s health sector. He specializes in infectious diseases, particularly TB, drug-resistant TB, and HIV/AIDS, and is certified in both adult and pediatric TB care and HIV management. At KELIN, he supports the development of community-led TB and HIV programs that emphasize equity, sustainability, and access. He contributes technical expertise in case management, contact tracing, and integration of services for key populations.
A committed advocate for human rights, Ibrahim works to align medical practice with dignity, justice, and the lived experiences of affected communities.

Administrative Officer
Kenneth Otieno Okoth, Admin Assistant-Kisumu Office, is a seasoned finance professional with over 8 years of experience in finance and administration. Armed with a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance Option) and a Higher Diploma in Business Administration, Kenneth is dedicated to advancing his expertise. Currently pursuing his CPA Part 2 Section 1 and a member of Kasneb, he exemplifies a commitment to ongoing professional development in the field.

Maigwa Solomon
Finance Officer
Solomon Maigwa, Finance Officer, brings over 6 years of valuable experience in donor-funded organizations. Demonstrating a passion for precision and a track record of delivering financial excellence, Solomon has played integral roles in an international NGO, focusing on finance and administration. His expertise lies in streamlining systems and enhancing efficiency to achieve organizational objectives. Solomon holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce with a Finance option, a diploma in business management, and is currently pursuing his CPA advanced level, showcasing his commitment to ongoing professional development.

Margaret Nyambura
Project Coordinator
Margaret Nyambura, Project Coordinator, is an Advocate and litigator for health justice, bringing five years of expertise at the intersection of law and health. Her experience, acquired through dedicated work at KELIN and the Medico-Legal Committee of the Law Society of Kenya, spans a broad spectrum of disease and social areas. Margaret has demonstrated proficiency in areas such as HIV, COVID-19, Digital Health, Emergency Health Care, Universal Health Coverage, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Maternal and Child Health, Anti-corruption, and Global Health Governance. Her commitment to addressing diverse health-related issues through legal advocacy highlights her comprehensive understanding of the complex challenges within the field.

Martha Ogutu
Senior Program Officer
Martha Delia Ogutu, Health and Governance Program Officer, boasts six years of experience in the human rights sector. In addition to her role, Martha has served as a board member in Integrated Education for Community Empowerment. As an advocate of the high court of Kenya and a certified mediator, she envisions a Kenya where affordable and accessible healthcare is a standard offering in all public facilities, irrespective of financial status. Martha is dedicated to promoting adequate legislation to guide the use of technology for enhancing healthcare, reflecting her commitment to advancing health rights and governance in the country.

Melinda Mugambi
Programme Officer Strategic Litigation
Melinda Is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Certified Mediator with a deep commitment to advancing human rights through strategic litigation, legal aid, public legal awareness and policy development. She brings a wealth of expertise to her work, having completed professional development courses in Project Management in Global Health (University of Washington), Advocacy for Reproductive Justice in Africa and Advocacy for Digital Health Justice (Afya na Haki Institute), Data Protection (CIPIT, Strathmore University) and Litigation of Sexual and Reproductive Rights before National and Regional Mechanisms (Centre for Human Rights, University of Pretoria). Melinda envisions a society where every individual is empowered to protect their rights while also striving for a future where the State fully respects, upholds, and safeguards the rights of all without being compelled. Her work is driven by a passion for justice, equity, and the transformative power of the law.

Namulanda Catherine
Programme Officer Strategic Litigation
Namulanda is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over three years of experience in litigation and human rights, with a particular focus on strategic litigation on the right to health. She holds certifications in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), reproductive justice, project management in global health and digital health justice. She is passionate about empowering communities, especially women by advocating for gender equality and accountability among duty bearers. She is committed to advancing women’s rights and upholding feminist principles, working to ensure that access to healthcare services and information particularly on sexual and reproductive health becomes a lived reality for young girls and women in Kenya.

Okania Pesa
Program Officer
Pesa Okania, Programme Officer HIV/TB and KAPS, is a seasoned advocate of the High Court, a Certified Mediator, and Researcher. With over 6 years of experience in human rights advocacy in Africa, Pesa is dedicated to effecting change through tireless commitment to the advancement of human rights. Her extensive expertise in law, mediation, and advocacy positions her as a formidable force in the pursuit of justice and equality, particularly in ensuring access to health services for all.

Paul Ombwara is a dedicated finance professional with a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance, nearing completion of his CPA-K qualification. Trevor, Program Associate, holds a bachelor’s degree in Law and certifications in CIPIT Data Protection Course, Introduction to Planning Monitoring and Evaluation, and Learning (PMEL), as well as Mastering Digital Forensics Cyber-Based Evidence. His achievements reflect a deep understanding of the intersection between public health and legal advocacy. Wangui Gitahi
Program Officer
Wangui Gitahi is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a profound passion for advancing the rights of women, girls and sexual minorities. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi and a postgraduate diploma in law from the Kenya School of Law. Wangui is dedicated to advancing the rights of marginalized communities through strategic litigation and gender-responsive programming. Her experience spans working with refugees in Dadaab and Kakuma refugee camps and urban centers across Nairobi, Mombasa, and Nakuru. She has an extensive background in representing victims of sexual and gender-based violence, advising on complex immigration cases, and publishing research on forced migration and feminist legal anysis.
